Posted by admin in filter wvo on 09 3rd, 2008So you are collecting WVO and running your vehicle on it. Sweet! However, now that the initial buzz has worn off you are finding that the time spent collecting and processing the oil is taking its toll on you.
The process to Filter WVO<WVO is anything but simple if you have been doing this for a while now visions of a hands off processing operations are now well behind you and you have probably contemplated giving up on the whole thing numerous times…
Fear not, there are many others in the same boat and some have come up with very nice, time efficient methods to filter WVO. This site is a collection of information collected from the internet of the solutions people have come up with to solve this exact problem. I do not make any claims for these systems; some are good some are bad. The point here is to get your creative juices flowing with ideas to ultimately solve your own WVO filtering system challenges. Anyone have a good design for filtering waste vegetable oil (WVO) while traveling?
Posted by admin in filter wvo on 09 3rd, 2008I am looking for a portable WVO filter that would work while I was on the road. This would have to filter the oil fast, and be cleanable and not clog
this works, but I don’t know where you’ll find them…I get them at a farm supply…there are inline filters used for dairy farms-they are a ’sock’ type, designed to fit over a spring/gasket combination. It’s from a ‘Zero’ milking system, and works awesome, I just stick a funnel in the end of the chunk of pipe, pour the oil through, the sock catches it, an viola!… when the filter gets plugged, you simply pull it out and replace it, they’re totally disposable, and inexepensive=like a nickle a piece
